Jaisalmer Fort : Jaisalmer Fort is
popularly known as the Golden Fort for its amber hue ,housing in the
entire township in its ramparts and gives a scenic view of the
desertscape from its 80 meters high perch on the hill.The Fort is
approached through four gateways-Akhaiya Pol,Ganesh Pol Suraj pol
and hava Pol. Manak Chowk and Havelis : A main market place outside
the fort leads to the narrow lanes doted with famous havelis.

Tazia Tower : The Muslim craftsmen, 'silvats'
of Jaisalmer built it in the shape of a Tazia and gifted to their
royal patron before they permanently migrated to Pakistan in 1947.
The pagoda like tower rises from Badal Mahal.This beautiful Tazia is
ornately decorated bamboo,paper and tinsel replicas of a bier and
carried in a procession during Moharram.

late 19th century haveli with intricate architecture a display of
sheer craftsmanship. The left and right wings of the building were
carved by brothers and are very similar, but not identical. Yellow
sandstone elephants guard the building, and even the front door is a
work of art.

Patwon ki Haveli : The most elaborate
and magnificient of all the Jaisalmer havelis It is five storeyed
and the extensive corridors and chambers are supported by
intricately carved pillars.One of the apartments of this five story
high haveli is painted with beautiful murals.

Salim Singh ki Haveli : The haveli was
built by Salim Singh who was the prime minister when Jaisalmer was
the capital of a princely state.It has exquisitely carved pillars
and exquisitely carved pillars and extensive corridors and
chambers.One of the apartments of this five story high haveli is
painted with beautiful murals.

Jain Temple : These groups of fine Jain
temples were built in the 12th to 15th century within the Jaisalmer
Fort. They are beautifully carved and dedicated to Rikhabdevji and
Sambhavnathji. There is also a Shiva and a Ganesh temple within the
fort.

distance of 16 kms from Jaisalmer is a popular excursion spot. The
place has ruins of many Jain temples and other monuments.There is

Km from Jaisalmer.This is a 21-hectare park and has some priceless

from Jaisalmer lie large stretch of dunes which is the closest point
to witness the total sandy desert. Sam has a truly magnificent

Khuri (40 km) : About 40 kms from
southwest of Jaisalmer,It is a peaceful place with houses of mud and
