Amber Fort : Situated on the crest of a hill
seven miles north of Jaipur.The city-palace is protected by towering
outer walls, a further wall runs for miles along the hills
surrounding the palace. For many, the most memorable part of a trip
to Jaipur is the journey up the palace ramparts, through a
succession of vast gates, on the back of a painted elephant –
Maharaja style. Inside are the ruins of a once great palace, a
wonderful example of Rajput architecture, with Mogul influences.

Hawa Mahal : It is situated on the edge of the
City Palace complex overlooking one of the city’s main streets.was
constructed to offer the women of the court a vantage point, behind
stone-carved screens, from which to watch the activity in the
bazaars below.The five-storey building is shaped like a crown
adorning Lord Krishna’s head and contains over 900 finely screened
windows and balconies.

City Palace : The City Palace is a historic
landmark. The carved arches are supported by grey-white marble
columns studded with floral motifs in gold and coloured stones.The
City Palce is an imposing blend of traditional Rajasthani and Mughal
art and architecture. The City Palace complex houses several
palatial structures. The first building in it is Mubarak Mahal,
built by Kaharaja Madho Singh. It has a beautifully carved marble
gate with heavy brass doors on either side of this gate. Beyond this
gate lies the Diwan -e-Khas, or the "Hall of Private Audience".

Jaigarh Fort : Jaigarh Fort was built by
Maharaja Jai Singh II in 1726.It is the tallest reigning fortress in
Jaipur.which are still preserved intact. Within its rugged bastions
are beautiful palaces, well maintained gardens, granary and a tall
watch tower. But the pride of Jaigarh is the ‘Jai Ban’ cannon, which
is supposed to be the largest cannon of its type in Asia.

Nahargarh Fort : Nahargarh also known as the
Tiger Fort.The main part of the Nahargarh Fort was built by Maharaja
Sawai Jai Singh in 1734 and the rest of the sections were added
later by Sawai Ram Singh II and Maharaja Madho Singhji.It is the
third of the hill-top forts guarding the Jaipur city with its
crenellated walls running along the ridge. This fort provides an
excellent view of the Pink City.

Jantar Mantar : The name 'Jantar Mantar'
comes from Sanskrit's 'Yantra Mantra'. literally means the
‘instruments for measuring the harmony of the heavens’m,built by
Sawai Jai Singh between 1728 and 1734.This was the biggest of all
his observatories and the only one built of stone.there are 17
instruments in the Jantar Mantar complex. The function of each
instrument is rather complex but serves a particular function where
time plays the main theme.
