Lingaraja Temple : This Temple of Shiva is among the finest of
its 500 temples built in the 11th century. It is also tbe biggest in
Bubaneswar.

including the finely carved Mukteswar Temple and the Siddeswar
Temple .The most interesting of them is the Prashumeswar Temple, a
well preserved 7th century temple adorned with beautiful carvings.

Bindusagar Lake : The "Ocean-drop Tank", this tank is
believed to contain water from every sacred pool, stream and tank in
India. It is surrounded by a number
of temples.Once a year the Lingaraj temple deity is brought out for
the ritual bath in the centre of the tank and it is believed a dip
in the holy tank at Bindusagar washes away all the sins.

Mukteshwara Temple :It was built in the 10th
century. It is well known for its stone arch at the entrance and is
richly sculpted. With the tales from the Panchatantra carved on it,
the temple is a magnificent example of Orissa architecture.

Orissa State Museum : It has a rich collection
of sculptures , coins, copper plates, stone inscriptions, lithic and
bronze-age tools, rare palm leaf manuscripts and traditional folk
and musical instruments.

Parsurameshwar Temple : It is a small
but richly decorated shrine of Shiva that was built in the th
century. It is one of the best preserved. It has sculptures
featuring amorous couples, animals and floral motifs.

▪ Dhauli(8 km) :Dhauli hill is on the bank of the river Daya, about 8 kms south of Bhubaneshwar.The
Kalinga-Nippon-Buddha Sangha established a peace pagoda (Shanti
Stupa) at Dhauli along with the construction of a monastery called
Saddharma. "Ashoka the Great" transformed totally and changed his
mind in favour of spiritual conquests.

Nandankanan (25 km) : Nandankanan is a Biological Park where
animals are kept in their natural habitat. A centrally located lake
divides the zoo from the Botanical Garden. The attractions of the
zoo are the majestic tigers, lions, pelicans, grey pelican, indian
python, king cobra and many more. Varieties of indigenous plants are
preserved in the Botanical Gardens of Nandankanan

Atri (42 km) : Atri is 42 kms
away from Bhubaneshwar It is a holy place with the shrine of
Hatakeshwar, situated amidst a hot sulphur water spring. A bath in
the spring water is not only pleasant but can cure skin diseases

(8 km) : Khandagiri and Udaygiri are the twin hills which contain
varieties of rock-cut caves.It is
